SNC-Lavalin’s Major Projects division is in search of a Document Controller to join a transformative transit infrastructure project in Toronto.  The Document Controller role will be part of a high-performing project team that is dedicated to delivering this complex undertaking through collaboration and a best-for-project vision. The role will report to the Commercial Lead.
This role will be based in Toronto, ON.
Your Role Within The Team

• Develop and implement Document Control framework to ensure compliance with the Governance system framework.
• Onboard Project team and subcontractor to document management system.
• Undertake audits to ensure document management processes are well implemented and ensure data integrity.
• Provide ongoing support and training to Project team on document management.
• Identify and implement improvements as required.
• Ensuring Project documentation are received, tracked, and monitored according to system specifications.

The Ideal Candidate

• Ability to establish effective working relationships in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• 5 – 7 years of document management experience and education in a related field.
• Good understanding of Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities with respect to document management would be an asset.
• Experience in all areas of document management including issue, creation, retrieval, retention, and turnover.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Document Management System – Aconex would be an asset.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and work in fast paced, high change environment.
• Ability to work from home, from office, or remotely on project sites that require on-site presence.
