Position Overview:
As the Director of Finance - FP&A, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis function for the entire organisation. This key leadership role requires exceptional financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to provide valuable insights to support the organization's growth and profitability goals. The successful candidate will work closely with senior executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and optimize decision-making processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact financial planning and analysis activities.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maximize their potential and contribution to the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance against targets, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial targets and plans.
- Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and sales, to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment of financial goals.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports and analyses, providing key insights on financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Partner with senior executives and department heads to analyze business initiatives, investments, and pricing strategies, providing recommendations for optimal financial outcomes.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of financial models, tools, and systems to enhance financial planning and analysis processes.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, scenario modeling, and profitability analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial planning and analysis strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, forecasting methodologies, and budgeting processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a leadership role within a complex organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Excel, financial planning software, and business intelligence platforms.
- Previous experience in a confidential, sensitive, or executive search environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
