JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Director will be primarily responsible for the overall financial management of the organization. This role will have day-to-day responsibility for financial planning, implementing and managing all financial & accounting related activities of the organization. This role will be located in the Greater Toronto Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES :

• Oversee all matters related to accounting and finance; Guide and supervise all activities pertaining to the Finance & Accounting department of the organization.
• Mentor team members on engagements to ensure delivery of accurate and timely financial information, in addition to their overall success and professional development.
• Ensure compliance and adherence to applicable accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS… as per required), federal and provincial regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting
• Responsible for timely and proper financial reports with accuracy, periodically or ad-hoc as required
• Develop, monitor and enforce policies and procedures relevant to accounting, budgeting, forecasting, project tracking and internal control
• Propose and develop a continuous evaluation of both short-term and long-term financial strategies to ensure achievement of company objectives
• Take lead as a business owner in the development and implementation of related systems for finance & accounting practices
• Evaluate company financial performance and recommend improvements that can be employed to enhance performance and develop new business opportunities
• Provide timely and detailed analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial trends, and maintain the credibility of the Finance & Accounting department; Align effectively with Vietnam Headquarter team
• Managing the relationship with auditors, banks and other stakeholders
• Identify, report risk issues where relevant; Support the initiatives of risk mitigation / management
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Oversee all tax filings of the coporate and serve as the main contact for all tax related topics and well as in charge of tax audit from authorities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
• Experience in a start-up environment or with new product launches is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership with high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• CPA designation is required. Automotive experience is a plus.
• SAP experience and/or SOX requirement is an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English. Ability to communicate in Vietnamese is a plus.
• Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with finance and accounting systems and matters, internal control, financial modeling & budgeting, asset management.
• Strong work ethic with flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work with tight deadlines
• 10+ years’ experience in finance analysis/budgeting/forecasting
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large amounts of data
