About the opportunity:
The Director, Supply Management is responsible for the Material Control, Procurement, and Inventory/Quality departments of the supply chain. Provides decision making support to Procurement staff and approves purchase and repair costs for procurements IAW company Delegated Signing Authority.
Your responsibilities:
- Audit completed Orders in the CMP to ensure appropriate spend approval was obtained, and any required documentation has been recorded by Procurement Specialist.
- Develop performance management/career advancement plans for direct reports.
- Manage Approved Vendors List IAW CPP requirements, obtaining VP approvals where required.
- Develop and be responsible for the annual budget for the supply chain department.
- Assignment and determination of staffing levels required to support multiple business units and ensure alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Oversee various short and long-term projects within aviation.
- Ensure employees and managers complete/understand company provided training in safety, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in SRM investigations relating to Procurement, Material Control, and Inventory.
- Focus on strategic initiatives for the whole organization.
- Manage procurement portions of special projects, such as fleet avionics upgrades, kit building such as Long Range Fuel, and Base Inventory building such as Airways deployment of aircraft to Line Maintenance Bases
- Take lead role in commercial negotiations relating to insurance claims relating to aircraft repairs, engines, and other high value inventory.
- Communication with internal business unit executives regarding changes to staffing levels or conflicts with internal/external priorities.
- Manage MSDS database IAW CPP requirements.
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Required:
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, solid ethical standards, and trustworthiness.
- Superior verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Management field; 5 of which must be in a management role.
- Post Secondary education in relevant business, management or supply chain.
- Strong project management knowledge and experience in Change Management.
- Aviation MRO knowledge preferred.
- Proven leadership experience, ability to lead a team and continuous improvement of the department work scope.
- Teamwork – must be able to work effectively with the safety team, other Voyageur stakeholders, and Chorus entities.
- Experience in Aviation Supply chain, or other workorder controlled production environment.

Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our North Bay head office. Depending on the nature of the role, we have implemented Remote and Hybrid Work Models; to learn more, speak to your recruiter.
