Description & Requirements


Role / Title


Responsible for delivering customer service levels and inventory targets while driving growth through commercialization and supporting productivity objectives. The position has three direct reports- managing a team of 12 people who are responsible for production planning- repack planning and supporting product commercialization. This role is the main operations contact for the BU and will interact with Operations- Procurement- Logistics- R&D- Quality and Commercialization to support key function and category objectives.


This position will need to improve current business practices and develop strong working relationships with business partners in delivery of CFR targets with a total cost management approach. The objective is to optimize the balance between supply availability- cost- inventory investment- and risk of obsolescence. Position leads the development and execution of inventory replenishment strategies that consider supplier/plant capabilities- capacity constraints- & costs while ensuring an uninterrupted supply of product to KHC customers to deliver customer service targets. Position must maintain a strong working relationship with all constituents to ensure that changes and activities are managed on a timely and cost-effective basis.


Principal Accountabilities


  • Owns long range capacity planning- mitigation of gaps in demand and supply and work through operations to find solves for potential future risks in supply
  • Creates an environment of personal and professional development with emphasis placed on building a culture of personal ownership and delivering results
  • Manages team by placing value on discipline in execution of rituals and routines- ensure action in delivery of KPI’s- continuous improvement- and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Works cross functional to deliver new product introductions and discontinuations- supporting commercialization projects
  • Provide single-point accountability and leadership for all supply planning of assigned portfolio of finished goods and work in process products throughout the product life cycle.
  • Manages and mitigates the risks associated with volatility of supply. Key responsibilities include managing the resources that perform Production Planning/Master Scheduling- and Fulfillment Planning activities to deliver service- cost- and cash objectives. Also- the role requires working with cross functional partners to ensure smooth execution. This role also has to solve materials (raw and packaging items) risks that could impact service for the portfolio and work together w. materials- procurement- BD- marketing- R&D to mitigate these risks
  • Works cross-functionally to identify Losses across the Value Stream- develop plans to mitigate them- and then ensure execution of those plans.


Requirements


  • Strong people management skills that not only fosters an environment of team success but individual accomplishments as well
  • Minimum 8 years Supply Chain experience
  • Succeeds at influencing a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
  • SAP or other ERP/APS software experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Possesses strong cross-functional leadership capability.
  • The ability to lead and develop a team of managers and highly skilled professionals with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Has strong understanding of supply chain- manufacturing and commercial environments.
