ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Client Finance Analyst is a buttoned-down professional with a strong financial acumen, understanding of corporate reporting and the ability to bridge financial requirements in a service-based environment working with finance, client services and production staff.

Reporting to Commercial Finance Director, you'll work closely with the team in Toronto. We run lean, so this role requires managing the full client finance workflow (start to finish).

You love people, processes, problem-solving, team-work, and relationship-building as much you love figures and dollars! You can connect and work with people in various roles and all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

On any given day the role will encompass, but not limited to, the following activities:

-Ensure compliance with regards to policies, procedures and processes; and GAAP compliance when comes to Billing and Revenue Reporting

-Ensure all client contracts are up to date and adhered to with client billing and reporting requirements.

-Lead meetings with Account teams and Production teams when required

-Review and approve job reconciliations and credit notes

-Prepare monthly client revenue files

-Month-end commentary on WIP, Accrued Revenue, Deferred Revenue, Open POs and AR Aging and timely action to resolve issues

-Maintain and process a portfolio of client billing and manage the full client finance workflow

-Work with the team to determine process improvements and develop action plans

-Any other duties that may required

Other responsibilities may include:

-Liaising with staff and external parties on various accounting matters

-Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient financial operations

YOU ARE/HAVE:

-Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and demonstrable accounting ability

-Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

-Effectively works autonomously as well as within a group, in a fast -paced environment

-Problem solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy

-Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills

-Ensure strict confidentiality at all times

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

-Post secondary education in business related discipline

-Solid finance experience with the ability to relate to procedures and processes

-Enrollment in the CPA program would be an asset but not required

-Work experience in the Advertising/PR/Media industry

-Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel a must, experience in Advantage a plus
