Retail Finance Manager

Toronto, ON – hybrid with 2-3 days per week in office

$100,000 - $110,000 base plus 10% bonus, 3 weeks of vacation, summer hours, and health/dental benefits

Our client is a well-known consumer packaged goods company in the heart of Toronto. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial management one of the fastest growing areas of the group. You will be responsible for providing key financial insights and support business decisions. This would include promotional analysis, store portfolio reviews, operating expense management and eCommerce Analytics. You would supervise one individual.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert in all things Digital Commerce related for Finance.
• Responsible for any ad hoc revenue and promotional analysis requested by Director of Merchandising.
• Coordinate, review and assist in the revenue planning for Retail for the Budget and all forecast cycles with Retail Merchandising Manager and Director of Merchandising.
• Prepare and report Digital Commerce Sales, Profitability, and penetration rates to the head office.
• Manages a team of one financial analyst.
• Assists in managing Retail Planning Dialogue Financials with Director of Commercial Finance. This includes updating Financial Models and attending brain storming sessions with Retail Leadership.
• Coordinate, review, and assist in the OPEX planning for Retail stores for the Budget and all forecast cycles with the Senior Manager of Retail Operations.
• Prepare and present a monthly analysis of retail promotions to Retail Leadership and the CFO. Providing insights and recommendations on the current and future promotional strategy.
• Assist Sales team is preparing forecast of digital business for Budget and all major forecast cycles.

Requirements:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent analytical and strong communication skills
• Experience in identifying financial risks and exposures and preparing analysis.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• 5 years of financial experience, preferably with a retail or CPG company, pricing experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
