As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Vice President of Finance and Operations to support the management and growth of the business. The Vice President of Finance and Operations will lead the financial modelling, goal setting and performance management processes for the business, align initiatives to those goals, and drive the successful execution of cross-functional programs. You will play a critical role in the definition and execution of business strategy and processes, financial management, revenue operations, legal and HR.

What you'll do

• Interface with accounting firms and financial institutions
• Own all aspects of financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting
• Manage vendor relationships and continuously optimize our business technology stack
• Design and maintain an up to date financial model of runway, burn rate and revenue forecasting
• Ensure all client billing and contract operations run smoothly
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for Go-To-Market prioritization and expansion
• Own revenue operations including billing, pricing, subscriptions and crypto-currency based payments
• Continuously optimize the unit economics of Shakudo's products
• Develop and execute on team-wide performance management, growth and promotion programs.
• Interface with our legal counsel, and manage all legal and compliance processes
• Manage existing and create new HR processes to facilitate effective on-boarding of new hires, employee satisfaction and growth of top performing employees within the company
• Mature operations to maximize the impact to our business and ensure we are building processes that allow us to scale and can be successfully measured. Solve for company-wide pain points and challenges, and identify areas of opportunity.
• Partner with team leads and company leadership in the development and management of annual and quarterly goals. Develop processes to promote accountability and clarity of focus on key priorities.

What you'll bring

• Strong general business skills and acumen – MBA or management consulting experience preferred.
• Prior experience executing, measuring results, and demonstrating progress.
• At least 4 years of experience in FP&A and operations at a VC backed startup
• Demonstrated experience building and leading a high-performance team. Extensive experience and a passion for people management and talent development.
• Excellent active listening skills combined with the ability to develop a nuanced point of view that can be comfortably shared and refined with other team members. Ability to know the right questions to ask, as well as when to listen and learn.
• Strong preference for 2+ years of experience in the data & AI space
• Demonstrated strong written communication skills with an emphasis on thoughtful, clear communication.
• 5+ experience in operations, product management, or people/culture preferably in a high-growth technology startup environment.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent prioritization and task management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across a diverse group of partners and operations team members. Be able to quickly build trust with other team members.
