About the Position

The Director of Client Strategy will be responsible for working closely with a set list of Twitch Advertisers in Canada and growing Twitch’s advertising revenue for the region. We are looking for a collaborative, client-focused and creative senior sales executive with experience selling media in the video space to agencies. This strategic seller will grow a territory and exceed sales goals. The Director, Client Strategy will be a crucial member of a growing sales team that provides outstanding advertising solutions to our clients. This role will report into the Head of Sales, Twitch Canada and will work in close partnership with the Amazon Advertising team in Canada. This role will be responsible for representing Twitch Advertising's objectives as priority in all endeavors and collaborate deeply with the Global Twitch Ad Sales team to ensure coverage, coordination and an excellent client experience for our partner

Basic Qualifications

10+ years in Sales/Marketing/Agency Roles with 5+ years with significant experience selling video as a quota-carrying digital ad salesperson

• Highly entrepreneurial spirit, organized and able to function independently as well as in tandem with internal partners.
• Reputable agency and client relationships
• Knowledge of video, gaming and esports industry
• Enthusiastic team player and self-starter commitment to excellence
• Demonstrate the ability to think creatively, sell, and communicate with team cross collaboratively
• Working knowledge of programmatic ad sales
• Able to deal with rapidly changing priorities and business circumstances

Preferred Qualifications

The Director of Client Strategy will work with a list of advertising partners at both clients and agencies to build relationships that grow Twitch’s presence in the market and increase our revenue. Twitch is a high growth business and this role must be visible in market and internally to help build momentum for the Twitch brand. This role will act as a Twitch subject matter expert and partner with the Amazon Advertising team to represent Twitch in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage advertiser pipeline
• Work collaboratively with the sales teams to uncover best practices and opportunities
• Grow ad revenue, and when possible, exceed goals through creative solutions
• Exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
• Work with existing and potential clients to determine their needs and create a Twitch centric ad sales solution
• Prospect for new business and accounts
• Secure strategic level relationships with senior client contacts within the account list
• Be a Twitch ambassador and act as an expert within the space to our clients, agencies, and internal split partners at Amazon Advertising

Basic Qualifications

• Experience building customer relationships
• Experience building new customer relationships
• 8+ years of B2B sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or advertising campaigns from concept to completion
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
