Data Analyst, Corporate Client Group

What is the opportunity?

This technical role is part of Corporate Client Group (CCG) National Operation’s Data Analytics team who delivers and maintains CCG’s management information systems, creates meaningful data visualizations and improves reporting processes. You require critical thinking, strong technical skills, effective project management and great attention to detail to ensure success in this role. RBC CCG National Operations supports CCG planning, directing, and overseeing their operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals. The CCG team is responsible for meeting annually established targets for revenues and returns, providing advice to our partners along with broader RBC relationship goals, while the National Operations team helps & supports the group execute long-term and short-term plans.

What will you do?

• Perform database administrative duties including database maintenance, manage ETL processes, data cleanups and proactively monitor data quality
• Create and maintain robust databases in SQL Server and MS Access
• Manage Data Analytic team’s JIRA service desk and Confluence
• Utilize VBA, SQL and other programming languages to make database and reporting processes more efficient
• Support all CCG teams nationally and senior management to provide data and analytics solutions that support data driven decisions
• Analyze large datasets in Excel and SQL; create ad-hoc and periodic reporting that are accurate and timely; and document and diagram key data management processes
• Build meaningful data visualizations in Tableau and Excel for performance reporting

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• Intermediate knowledge and experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools, as well as, advanced level of MS Office (with a focus on Excel and Access), SQL and VBA
• Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or data warehousing
• Ability to solve problems through creativity and critical thinking, strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Proven capabilities in effective management of tasks and delivering high quality work while performing well under pressure, meeting time sensitive deadlines, and prioritizing work
• Undergraduate or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems with knowledge and experience in database and data management principals
