Job Description


Business Development for Certainty means driving and supporting business growth, identifying business opportunities, and maximizing relationships with existing and potential clients.


Summary of Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Prioritize business development efforts to secure revenue-generating opportunities
  • Maintain current industry knowledge and networking connections
  • Continue to develop Certainty’s network and increase relationships with clients and vendors
  • Utilize technical understanding to develop client proposals and presentations
  • Represent and promote Certainty at industry events and trade shows
  • Achieve revenue and sales targets
  • Other duties as required
  • Meet established annual revenue goals
  • Oversee the implementation of a strategic business development plan
  • Undertake market, geographic, and competitor analysis for existing service lines
  • Collaborate with internal operations and project management team to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Drive revenue growth and sustainability by maximizing business relationships


Qualifications/Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the business development strategy implementation
  • Demonstrated ability in understanding the principles, methods, and strategies used to promote and sell services • Demonstrated commitment to safety and understanding of behaviour-based safety culture
  • High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • High proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and other graphics-based software.
  • Experience with a Sales based CRM is an asset.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute as a self-motivated and energetic team player
  • Demonstrated ability to establish revenue-generating industry connections
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • A minimum of five years experience in business development specializing in pipeline maintenance and small-diameter construction
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time
  • Demonstrated skill in presentation and technical writing skills

Drivers License (Class 5)
