We are expanding our North American Commercial team with multiple Business Development roles in the US and Canada. Location preferences include Edmonton, Alberta, Houston Texas and the Northeastern United States
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for increasing the company’s customer base, expanding the product range purchased by customers, and providing ongoing technical support. The Specialist will be responsible for achieving the annual sales target defined for their territory and developing long-term business relationships with key accounts. The Specialist will also be responsible for identifying and closing the opportunities for sample preparation equipment reference materials and laboratory consumables from all of the group companies as part of a holistic solution based sales approach to analytical laboratories. The Specialist will perform regular sales visits to client locations as well as represent Analytichem at regional trade shows and symposiums.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Contributing to the growth of the company by achieving, at minimum, the annual sales target set out for the territory.
· Be active within the territory through visits to client locations and representing the company at regional association/trade shows and symposiums.
· Maintain communication channels with clients via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
· Track all client interactions with daily updates to the client management software.
· Follow-up on all leads provided by marketing campaigns and provide feedback to increase effectiveness of campaigns.
· Assist in the development of new products and new markets by providing client feedback to management and product development team.
· Generate and follow-up on quotations as requested by clients.
· Determine customer needs and identify appropriate products to meet those needs.
· Increasing the client awareness of existing and new products.
· Acting as the point of contact for any technical or client support issues and guiding the client through until resolution.
· Ensure prompt on-boarding of new clients by following up with client service and accounting departments.
· Continuously upgrade knowledge of products, customers, sales techniques.
· Provide market intelligence to management and colleagues.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of territory sales experience.
· Bachelor of Science in chemistry, geochemistry, biology of related science.
· Experienced professional with excellent customer skills.
· Organized, enthusiastic, able to prioritize and deliver results.
· Able to find creative solutions to client’s problems.
· Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
· Strong work ethic and motivation to win.
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
