Business Development - Edmonton

The Opportunity:

You are a professional, highly-motivated and results-oriented Business Development shark, who is seeking an exciting opportunity to join a tour de force team and you enjoy the thrill of new business development. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, and located out of Edmonton, you will play a vital role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and diversifying our existing lines of business.

You will be responsible for expanding our customer base, generating leads, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. If you have a current network in the midstream sector, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to business development, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

·Build and maintain relationships leading to sales to the midstream sector in Alberta.

·Prospect new customers, establish close working relationships.

·Develop sales strategies and plans to increase revenue.

·Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategic business development initiatives.

·Conduct regular outreach and follow-up with prospective clients to understand their needs, provide information about our services, and address any queries or concerns they may have.

·Presentation of concepts to clients, negotiation of agreements.

·Assists and reviews contract negotiations, operational RFP responses and supports operational sales efforts.

·Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent our company, network with potential clients, and stay updated on industry trends and market conditions.

·Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and finance, to ensure effective project scoping, pricing, and contract negotiations for projects.

·Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth and recommend strategies to stay ahead in the drilling and completions sector.

·Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of business development activities, client interactions, and sales opportunities.

·Work to get on the client approved vendor list and secure new contracts.

·Develop business plan and win strategies, including market size and timing, to ensure committed revenue growth and profitability.

· Travel is required to visit existing locations and to drive new revenue in expanding markets across Western Canada.

·Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

·3+ years of experience in an outside sales role, selling products or services to midstream companies

·Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

·Current Driver’s Abstract in good standing

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Knowledge using Microsoft Office programs

·Knowledge of drilling and completions operations

·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals.

·Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

·Proactive and self-motivated approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback

·Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools

·Willingness to travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent the company
