Challenge/Role

The Business Analyst is a member of a team responsible for analyzing, developing, and supporting the applications and business processes that provide operational and management information to clients, vendors, and internal users. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the management and delivery of business analysis activities on complex, transformational, cross-functional project(s) for Enterprise Payments.

Opportunity

Description of Essential Functions

• You will provide support to clients and internal users to analyze and resolve production and operational issues. (10% of Time)
• You will ensure to monitor and manage weekly/quarterly/annual Visa, Mastercard, and Interac payment network mandates and advise Compliance Manager and product teams on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes. (15% of Time)
• You will be expected to contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence including identifying, leading, and actively participating in process improvements, and determining solutions that will allow the business to grow. (15% of Time)
• You will be in charge of leading and or participating in requirement-gathering workshops both internally and externally with clients to identify and contribute to business objectives. (10% of Time)
• You will create clear functional requirements documents from business requirements by assessing and capturing customer needs, utilizing structured processes to establish business priorities; consulting with technical subject matter experts, and developing alternative technology solutions. (25% of Time)
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end functional requirement-gathering process throughout the lifecycle of the project, working collaboratively with stakeholders from lines of business, technology, operations, and compliance, always keeping a customer-centric focus. ( 25% of Time)

Team

The System Analysis team is a dynamic and critical center for Everlink, undergoing significant transformation by implementing new techniques and tools to drive excellence within Everlink’s payment ecosystem. The mandate for this team is to manage governance and compliance, support payment strategy, and innovation projects driven by the company business roadmap and professional service.

About You

Education & Experience Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in functional business analysis and leadership working with complex, integrated systems.
• Post-secondary education in a discipline in an area related to assigned duties such as Computer Science or Information Technology.

Skills and Abilities

• You have strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
• As the successful candidate for this role, you will have the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of MasterCard & Visa (Debit/Credit), Interac, Exchange networks, ATM and/or POS devices, and Mobile transaction processing.
• You have experience in the Financial and IT industry relating to Business and Functional analysis.
• You have strong knowledge of online transaction processing.
• You have proficiency with Jira and Confluence tools
• You are knowledgeable in clarifying design requirements for server and web-based software application development
• You are very familiar with ISO8583/20022 standards
• Your high analytical and problem-solving capabilities coupled with the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution are essential to perform successfully in a Business Analyst role.
• Your exceptional interpersonal and written skills help you to effectively communicate and interact with Business Development, Quality Assurance, and Management teams in various circumstances.
