What You Will Do

• Identifies and coordinates Business SME participation in program as needed per project requirements.
• Works with IT application SMEs to define local source system and data transformation.
• Handles metric definition and identifies changes to people, process and technology for important metric implementation.
• The Sales Analytics Analyst is part of our Building Technologies & Solutions business at Johnson Controls. We are looking for a person to support Commercial Sales in our digital solutions business with data analytics. This person will create solutions, drive insights and be a part of our business transformation. This position is remote, within the U.S.
• Participates in visualization, testing and implementation of defined solutions.
• Integrate quality practices in all aspects of delivery; audit work products to ensure quality and sustainability.
• The role is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Business Analytics within Johnson Controls digital business. Under the direction of the Digital Operations Director, this role is responsible for analytics and advanced data initiatives which include identifying business needs and producing solutions, designing and implementing processes. This individual will act as an ambassador for the digital team, promoting management adoption of standard data management and analytical capabilities through the delivery of reliable data and information.
• Handle project tasks optimally and provide active support to project managers in estimation, risk management and issue resolution.
• Works with Business Leads to obtain user acceptance on the overall solution.
• Participates in key requirement review meetings with other business leaders.
• How you will do it
• Assists in the design and delivery of high-performance, low-maintenance and user-friendly customer interface for the business intelligence metrics.
• Definition of any required business process or data requirements. Identification of organizational change associated with the requirements and owns the global metric implementation.
• Actively participates in matric implementation delivery prioritizations based on business requirements and data availability.
• Owns design, development, and support for a specific analytics function on which may be delivered several solutions (dashboards, reports, etc.).
• Responsibility for communicating and driving important metric delivery with leadership teams.
• Understand the current and future state of business requirements and tool capabilities.
• As a member of the digital team, this role requires a team member who leads by example, is confident, perseverant, inspirational, focused and dependable. Ensures timely and accurate administration of specified operations for our digital team – i.e. revenue recognition, financial projections, and scenario analysis. Analyzes customer data and sales offering mix trends for strategy development. The ability to deliver tactical projects while anticipating issues and thinking strategically is a must have.
• Participates in data gap assessments aligned to critical metric definitions.

What We Look For

• Knowledge of statistics and statistical modeling approaches for analytics.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills; ability to work effectively with onsite and offsite teams
• Ability to gather and document business, analytical and reporting requirements.
• Ability to influence decisions and direction in support of initiatives
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business.
• Advanced data analysis experience: Python, SAS or other statistical analysis tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.
• Understanding and experience with Machine Learning tools and approaches.
• Ability to direct unit testing during development cycles and to define test cases.
• Knowledge of most of the key concepts related to master data management, data standards and data organizations preferably.
• Data and BI technology experience; Relational Databases, Power BI, Azure, SQL, Data Warehousing.
• Experience with supporting Sales. Creating and reviewing sales data, assessing and making recommendations.
• Skilled at data profiling and data analysis.
• Problem-solving skills – ability to navigate technology and organizational issues to complete project tasks
• A successful candidate will possess the following skills and behaviors:
• Strong English skills
• Confidence to collaborate with all levels of management.
• Respected, business knowledgeable and able to coordinate a set of business and IT resources as to how business data flows, rules and can direct design and creation of reports and analytics.
• Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in a data focused role.
• Ability to travel minimally, within the US. Example: if needed for a project
