What the Role Is
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Budget & Forecasting, the Business Analyst will establish and monitor processes and tools to provide accurate budgets, financial reporting, financial data collection, analysis, monitoring of costs and reporting.
The role is responsible for organizing the quarterly Self Reporting Initiative (SRI) and annual Hospital Accountability Planning Submission (HAPS) reporting to the Ministry; evaluates and tests data quality; creates information reports for end users; and supports the Financial Specialists with various journal loads and reports as needed. This position works closely with Information Technology and is responsible for the data integrity in the Hyperion Budget system and reconciliation to PeopleSoft GL.

What You Will Bring with You
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Mandatory Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards Level 1
- Advanced Computer Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Advanced interpersonal and investigative skills
- Advanced knowledge of Ministry of Health hospital reporting requirements and standards, (e.g., SRI, HAPS, MIS, OHRS, OCDM, T/B.)
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP Accounting and Auditing Principles
- Mandatory Professional Accounting Designation or currently enrolled
- Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft, GL, Hyperion, nVision reporting and Smartview reporting
- Advanced high level of accuracy and attention to details - especially related to reconciliations and report preparation
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
- Advanced ability to multi-task many high urgent needs within short timelines
- Three (3) years recent related experience
