Business Analyst Jobs

Agilus is recruiting for a Business Analyst for Chatham, ON. The working model will remain hybrid.

The Financial Analyst provides business partnership support to specific business lines within the core business, as delegated by the Manager of Finance.

This position will be responsible for the capital planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes by using analytics and financial modeling to advise, this position provides the business with the data to identify opportunities to maximize both the top-line growth, bottom-line margins, and cost optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop positive relationships with internal and external clients.

• Administer/negotiate Direct Purchase contracts with customers or their agents; set contract parameters, work with credit and collections department to mitigate risk

• Execute balancing transactions and approve BT contracts.

• Customer account analysis, investigate anomalies, meter and billing issues, the knowledge to redirect to the appropriate department

• Represent DP Contracting as a subject matter expert on projects, and documentation review.

• Investigations, customer negotiations, and conflict resolution with external parties regarding Direct Purchase (DP) contract parameters and compliance

Successful candidates will have:

• Business, Finance, or Math degree or Business or Finance College diploma & 2 years + of relevant work experience

• Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite) and familiarity with database concepts, query tools, and general business applications. (Strong Math Skills are essential to this role)

• Ability to perform multiple work assignments at varying stages of completion with a high degree of accuracy while working to tight time constraints and changing priorities.

• A broad understanding of or ability to quickly learn the direct purchase and distribution contracting business in order to apply strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills to resolve issues within the confines of the regulated business environment.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Understanding of Direct Purchase contract administration, customer billing, and/or financial systems.

• Working knowledge of ConTrax, Enerline, SAP CIS, WEBi, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and Word.

• Understanding of Large Volume Contract language and rates.

• Demonstrated front-line customer service/contact experience.

• Experience in the natural gas and/or utilities market.
