Evolugen by Brookfield Renewable is seeking an Analyst, Business Development who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment to join its renewables development and transition investment platform in Canada. Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, you will be joining a small team of high-performing professionals collaborating closely in the execution of Brookfield Global Transition Fund’s investment and development strategies. Responsibilities

• Produce investment committee materials and other transaction documents;
• Project management of teams across the Canadian platform to execute on development opportunities;
• Support Brookfield’s strategic corporate initiatives.
• Assist in targeting potential development opportunities across Canada with a focus on Brookfield Global Transition Fund’s impact measurement and management approach;
• Evaluate potential development and investment opportunities through building detailed financial models;
• Identify and monitor opportunities for growth across Canada – including keeping a pulse on decarbonization trends, emerging technologies, and the regulatory environment;
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to support development and investment initiatives;
• Prepare presentation decks to support discussions with senior management and external stakeholders on strategic initiatives;

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record in a quantitative field of study;
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience with renewable power investments, investment banking, or a comparable role, or evidence of a high level of achievement during academic studies will also be considered;
• Pursuing a professional certification such as a CFA is considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail to ensure recommendations to management consider all aspects of the business;
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn advanced financial modelling in MS Excel;
• Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative;
• Excellent written and oral communications skills;
• Ability to meet multiple objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-based environment;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint;
• Basic knowledge of a programing language is an asset.
