Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

• Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses and budgets.
• Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Grow, service and maintain an established territory in the Ontario area.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Adjusts content of sales presentations by analyzing the type of customer
• Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on current and potential accounts. (50% existing accounts + 50% business development)
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making customer recommendations based on lab recommendations.

Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:

• Positive attitude and works well with other team members.
• Proven ability to secure new business.
• Product knowledge understands packaging adhesives which includes hot melts and water-based products.
• Good computer skills including Excel and Power Point
• Proven track record of achieving sales objectives.
• Self-confidence and self-starter
• Possesses the ability to negotiate customer contracts.
• B. Sc. in chemistry with 3 to 5 years experience in Emulsion polymers, Epoxy Flooring or Concrete admixtures industry or related market space.
• Has the ability to present professionally to existing and potential customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possesses the ability to communicate the company Value Proposition.
• Good technical adhesive knowledge and can communicate adhesive issues to the lab and manufacturing when needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Three to five years of industrial adhesive sales experience
• BA/BS University degree with a concentration in business or marketing.
• Bilingual preferred (French-English) perfect English Mandatory
