Account Manager

Working within the Dodge Industrial Canada division of RBC Bearings, the Account Manager develops, implements, and updates the account strategy for our mechanical power transmission product line. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will co-ordinate sales activities, creating added value for the customer and for Dodge, with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction.


Your responsibilities

  • Defining sales targets for the accounts, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up.
  • Driving specifications of Dodge products at the major end users in specific industries.
  • Providing solutions for their businesses that are in line with volume, mix and profitability targets.
  • Structured updating of CRM platform to support growth initiatives.
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
  • Responsible for managing sales of RBC/Dodge mechanical products through our distribution & OEM channels in the Ontario region/ 401 East corridor. Between Hwy 410 and Brockville.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken.



Your background

  • Strong decision-making ability while negotiating commercial and technical items with customers and colleagues, both to win new work and to resolve disagreements.
  • Good knowledge and experience with mechanical products.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within the region.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, working within the industrial market preferred.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Professionalism, well organized and demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy.
  • A bachelor’s or technical degree from accredited post-secondary institution, preference towards Mechanical Engineering or relevant industry experience.
