Our client, a leading Canadian logistics and transportation company is looking to add a Business Development Manager to their team! The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business to grow revenue and maintain customer accounts. This role is territory based and requires frequent travel and your own vehicle.
*$75,000-$95,000 plus commissions

Qualifications:
-Post secondary education with a background in Business or Sales
-Cross Border less-than-truckload (LTL) Sales and Warehousing Sales Experience
-2-3 years’ experience in business-to-business sales or tele sales
-Third-party logistics (3PL) industry work experience is an asset
-A solid network and client base and demonstrated success selling in a third-party (3PL)
-Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
-Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
-Proven experience in freight brokerage sales, with a desire to grow professionally
-Skilled with Microsoft Office
-Valid driver's license and access to vehicle
Job Requirements:
-Identifies, qualifies, and penetrates new business opportunities
-Schedules customer appointments with key decision-makers to overcome barriers and identify growth opportunities for our logistics division
-Educates customers on technology solutions to provide tracking, pricing, and reporting capabilities
-Collaborates with Operations to establish standard operating procedures (SOP's) for meeting customer expectations and addresses issues with scheduled shipments
-Plans quarterly business reviews (QBR’s) with customers to review business trends and performance
-Applies sales strategies gained from sales training to identify areas where the company can be implemented
-Generates sales leads by networking, cold-calling prospects and building relationships as part of a coordinated sales strategy
-Creates sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities, and documenting sales methodology
-Prepares presentations and delivers to prospective clients as well as maintaining accurate customer files
-Other duties as assigned
