Transportation Logistics Broker Jobs

Obtain and maintain the knowledge of all supporting processes, routing guidelines, vendor compliance, account processes, department policies and procedures.

Maintain and monitor all processing requirements (e.g., customer supplied labels, hang tags, UCC 128’s, ship to addresses).

3-4 years’ experience in warehousing, e.g., Traffic/Shipping preferred

Must have excellent communication skills, work ethic, punctual and reliable

Comply with all routing guidelines ensuring that each account is properly shipped.

Maintain the flow of shipping for each account.

In conjunction with the Division Manager, ensure that documented Incident claims are entered in appropriate software and managed.

May be asked to get involved in operations administration and lower level operating duties when required by Manager.

Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Relevant post-secondary courses, diploma, degree or experience required.

Experience having worked in the Trucking and/or Transportation industry is a strong asset.

Exceptional Internal and external customer service skills

Experience with 3Log Inventory Management System (LIMS)

Proficiency with technology and software such as Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems

Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in Logistics and Transportation management in a large, complex healthcare environment;

Supply Chain Management Professional designation and/or a degree in Business Administration, or related field.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Time management/prioritization and follow-up skills

Broad understanding of logistics fundaments; including different modes of transportation, costing and warehouse management

5+ Years’ Experience – Transportation & Logistics

Experience with data analysis and building KPI tools

Certification or diploma in a related field an asset

Prepare reports ongoing to analyze transportation laneways globally identifying cost reduction opportunity and potential service improvements.

Team Player with strong project management and presentation skills.

Customer service oriented with effective time management skills and attention to detail.

5 to 10 years of experience in insurance brokerage with extensive knowledge in Fleet and transport insurance.

Post-secondary education, preferably in operations/purchasing

5 years of experience in the forest industry;

Experience with log distribution including log towing, barging and booming and dryland sort processes;

-Cross Border less-than-truckload (LTL) Sales and Warehousing Sales Experience

-2-3 years’ experience in business-to-business sales or tele sales

-Third-party logistics (3PL) industry work experience is an asset

-Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

-Excellent communication and customer relationship skills

Preference will be given to those with post-secondary Education and/or relevant transportation industry experience
