Job Description
Certarus is the North American leader in providing low carbon energy solutions through a fully integrated compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable natural gas (RNG), and hydrogen platform. The company safely delivers clean-burning fuels to industrial customers not connected to a pipeline.

Summary:


The sales team is looking for a new member to develop the future growth strategy in the region. The successful candidate will demonstrate industry leading outside sales management skills and is responsible for maximizing revenue by creating, managing and implementing best in class sales development activities to maximize growth. This position will require collaboration with our engineering and operations teams to help provide solutions for our customers. This role will be a home-based sales position with regular travel.


Schedule:


  • The schedule follows normal business hours, with extra work hours when required
  • Travel to Certarus and customer locations in Southern and Eastern Ontario is expected - up to 25%


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Understand negotiations and profitability analysis processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work closely with Certarus RNG and hydrogen groups to develop those markets
  • Work closely with operations and support functions to recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements
  • Achieve volume and margin sales targets for compressed natural gas to commercial and industrial markets
  • Develop strong relationships with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and client loyalty


Requirements:


  • +5 years of experience in a related role preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing a pricing strategy
  • Prior experience with the utility, power generation, road construction and/or other industrial sectors is an asset
  • Candidates with strong industry rolodex with key target accounts is an asset
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fuel distribution and/or industrial sales
  • Demonstrated ability in identifying and supporting the development and delivery of new products
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment requiring relationship development
  • Experience in negotiating contract terms, i.e., T&Cs, NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Supply Agreements, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or commensurate experience
