Job Description

Altis Recruitment & Technology is currently looking for strategic and results-focused Business Developers with 2-3 years of sales experience, to play a key role in our growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building, developing and nurturing new partnerships and client relationships. We believe that excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven ability to inspire, engage, and negotiate with potential clients, are essential for success in this seat.


This is an exciting opportunity with a remote-by-choice company culture, offering Flex Days after 6 months (2 on-call but fully paid days per month) to support your work/life balance. Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:


· Identifying, prospecting and generating new business opportunities to reach sales targets and drive revenue growth

· Building networks and spheres of influence in order to grow prospect lists

· Conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities and competitive landscapes across Canada

· Developing and maintaining relationships with key hiring decision-makers and influencers

· Working together with cross-functional teams to ensure staffing processes run smoothly and seamlessly.

· Preparing and delivering presentations and proposals to showcase our services to prospective and current clients, while addressing client hiring needs

· Demonstrating our value and expertise by effectively marketing top talent to prospective clients

· Actively participating in industry events, conferences, and career fairs to enhance brand visibility, grow professional networks, establish industry connections, and increase our diverse customer pipeline

· Continuously staying updated on industry/market trends and competitor activities and sharing your insights with the team

· Sourcing business opportunities with former, existing, and new accounts, while also monitoring growth and success

· Setting account growth plans by gaining a deep understanding of the pain points and motivations of the client and developing a strategy around those needs and solutions

· Maintaining strategic customer relationships to uncover specific needs for the key decision makers through consistent follow up and engagement

· Identifying and converting lead job opportunities into actual job orders

· Operating as the lead contact for contract negotiations and renewal processes while working alongside our Contract Success team

· Negotiating and securing successful placements and navigating client objections if they arise

· Assisting with the transitioning of existing accounts and engaging former clients to establish meaningful relationships

· Acting as a subject matter expert within a related labour market, actively engaging clients on market trends within specific industries

· Monitoring revenue trends while developing and managing strategies to grow market share within a designated area of focus

· Preparing and reporting on goals, sales, and prospect engagement

· Validating and updating key sales information into our CRM system

· Staying current on labour market trends and recruitment challenges while providing effective advice to clients and further insights to our leadership team on recruitment and pipeline strategies

· Working collaboratively with Account Managers/Executives and Recruitment Partners to ensure a strategic search plan is in place and client expectations are met

· Attending client kick offs and service delivery review presentations

· Leading team members in adoption of and enrollment in new technology implementation

· Carrying out MSA delivery and renegotiating renewals

· Acting consultatively by highlighting Altis content including webinars, blog posts, etc.

· Cross-selling and introducing clients to relevant business lines

· Building and connecting with existing and new clients through engaging LinkedIn content

· Maximizing sales tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator


Qualifications & Experience


· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

· Proven track record of 2-3 years of successful sales experience, preferable in a B2B environment

· Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and objectives

· Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

· Tech savvy with proficiency in using CRM software and other sales productivity tools

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

· Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a proactive and positive mindset

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment

· Experience in phone sales and conducting effective face-to-face meetings
