Working with the overall framework of GS1 Canada’s strategic objectives, the Senior Director, Industry Relations - Foodservice will build trusted strategic partnerships with stakeholder organizations within their portfolio. You will help enhance the value realized by your assigned stakeholders through the integration and usage of GS1 Global Standards and ECCnet Industry Managed solutions. You will seek out value driving opportunities by penetrating across the stakeholder organization to uncover untapped needs that could broadly serve industry through the foundation of standards development and usage as well as through non-proprietary solutions. Through immediate and future value creation, you will achieve cost recovery targets and advance corporate strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Communicate any barriers due to GS1 Canada limitations internally
- Articulate the GS1 Canada and ECCnet platform value propositions and facilitate stakeholder dialogues and presentations to educate on best practice
- Develop a keen understanding of stakeholder organizations’ strategies and priorities through research, attending events and by leveraging network
- Gather and share subscriber feedback and trends with internal functions to build into projects and roadmaps
- Create annual, rolling business plans with targets aligned to organization, department and sector goals, including cost recovery objectives and increased stakeholder integration
- Develop a deep understanding of relevant business processes and priorities within subscriber ways of working
- Identify pain points and opportunities, providing best practice recommendations that drive value through enhanced effectiveness, efficiency and/or cost savings
- Represent the Industry Relations team on internal projects, ensuring a two-way dialogue between project team and Industry Relations team
- Work with direct manager to gain stakeholder commitment to the metrics, execution of the strategies, tactics and milestone dates within the plan, ensuring demonstrated support for industry protocols
- Monitor progress on initiatives based on subscriber feedback and advocates internally and externally, as appropriate, to ensure advancement
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Demonstrated influencing skills and achievements that will effectively gain the confidence and support of internal and external stakeholders
- Undergraduate university degree (Bachelor or Honors Bachelor) in Business Management or a related field
- Understanding of business processes, issues and opportunities within different business sectors
- 10 - 12 years of related experience in retail, foodservice, healthcare, pharma or a related sector
- An analytical, solution-focused approach, and a keen eye for detail
- Proven influencing skills with the ability to effectively facilitate dialogues and communicate with a wide variety of audiences to advance business priorities
