Foodservice Associate Jobs

Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality;

Previous warehouse experience is preferred

Safely operate an end rider, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check;

Lifting and loading food and other products onto pallets (up to 80 lbs);

Accurately selecting products using a computerized inventory system;

Scanning and placing labels on product and building pallet based on sequence;

Strong experience at managing a P&L and understanding of KPI’s.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Ability to work effectively/multi-task in a high volume, fast paced work environment and manage conflicting priorities.

·Bilingual (English and French) communication skills is an asset.

•A post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.

•Strong customer presentation skills and ease in handling varied and complex sales situations.

Undergraduate university degree (Bachelor or Honors Bachelor) in Business Management or a related field

10 - 12 years of related experience in retail, foodservice, healthcare, pharma or a related sector

Demonstrated influencing skills and achievements that will effectively gain the confidence and support of internal and external stakeholders

Develop a deep understanding of relevant business processes and priorities within subscriber ways of working

Identify pain points and opportunities, providing best practice recommendations that drive value through enhanced effectiveness, efficiency and/or cost savings

Communicate any barriers due to GS1 Canada limitations internally

Work well with teams and have strong motivational skills

Have excellent communication skills both written and oral with a strong command of the English language

Have excellent computer skills at an intermediate level

Have planning and organizational skills

Strong problem solving and strategic planning skills

Specifically covering Distributors and Non-Commercial customers (including US Foods, Sysco, GFS, DOT, GPOs, Contract Management, etc.)

A keen understanding and experience with Canadian and US distributor channels is critical (Sysco, US Foods, GFS, etc.)

Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite a strong asset, but not required

Effective leadership skills to mentor and motivate employees including experience with coaching and employee development

Minimum 1-5 years warehouse experience, and 1 year or more in a leadership role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have experience and/or training within a warehouse environment and with WHMIS, food safety, lifting techniques and Material Handling Equipment;

Strong knowledge of First In First Out (FIFO);
