Position: Travel Industry Marketing Director

Our client is looking to hire a Marketing Director who will be in charge of leading their company's B2B and B2C marketing efforts. As a successful hire, you will be responsible for providing guidance to the marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for the organization's brand.

What you will be doing:

- Develop and implement comprehensive B2B and B2C marketing and communication strategies that support the goals of the business and our agents/ agencies

- Lead a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

- Lead key marketing tactics, including email marketing, digital marketing, social media, direct mail, website development and more

- Oversee the production of marketing materials, including collateral, presentations, and digital content

- Collaborate with internal teams and our supplier partners to identify opportunities for marketing and communication initiatives

- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication campaigns, making recommendations for improvement as needed

- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into marketing and communication strategies

- Be the brand champion and ensure consistency across all assets

What you will bring:

- At least 5 years’ experience in a marketing position and 2-3 years of team management experience

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field

- A people-first mindset with the ability to lead and motivate a team of marketing and communication professionals and work with cross functional teams

- Strong digital, website and social media skills

- Proven track record of successful email campaigns and content strategy

- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

- Creative, analytical thinker and creative problem solver and thrive in fast paced environment

- A self-starter who is not afraid to take on new projects and loves to dig into the data and question the status quo

- Professional and proactive work ethic

- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Knowledge of the travel industry is required
