Exchange Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join their Sales Team!
Role Purpose: The Relationship Manager position is generally an outbound sales position where the employee prospects new business opportunities for EBC with the goal of building a book of business for the organization. The employee will be responsible for initial market research within the SME business sector, and an outbound sales outreach approach. The ability to communicate, research and qualify prospective clients, as well as the use of marketing and sales skills with prospective companies over the phone is essential to success in this position.
The Relationship Manager position acts as the first line of contact for prospective clients targeted by EBC. The employee will conduct the responsibilities outlined below in return for “Best in Class” base salary plus commission compensation package.
Essential Functions:
- Document the result of each communication, update the database and type clear and concise notes after each contact is made with a company.
- Utilize professional communication, research, and qualifying skills, to generate contact information and maintain a database of new potential clients in Salesforce.
- Provide necessary support for any onboarding issues, concerning Salesforce updates, collateral posting and general support to aid the onboarding process.
- Onboard clients, maintain relationships and conduct Corporate Foreign Exchange transactions with employees book of business.
- Perform all other reasonable duties as requested by management.
- Contact SME companies across a defined jurisdiction to introduce EBC products and services.
- Identify and Prospect identified potential clients via cold-call or email outreach, face to face methodologies, while meeting or exceeding new client targets set by the Management.
- Outreach strategies should target communications with key decision makers for accounting or financial matters of the prospective company with the view of qualifying the client in relation to EBC products and services.
- Act as an Ambassador for the Sales Team, and conduct work duties in such a manner that does not compromise or bring the company into disrepute.

Qualifications and Experience:
- 4+ years’ experience in foreign exchange and international payments.
- Prior experience working with SMEs across Canada is considered an asset
- Excellent with CRM tools and technology as well as Microsoft Office products and PowerPoint
- Must possess a strong track record of proven leadership of high performing teams in Sales
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Management or Business, or equivalent in training, education or experience in a related field or function.
- Prior experience with selling FX and international payments to SMEs
