SCOPE
LEAP leads the world in the development and sale of cloud-based legal practice management software for small law firms on a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. We employ more than 800 people globally and have offices in the USA, Australia and the UK with more than 57,000 users using our software worldwide. We are seeking a Business Development Team Lead to join our highly motivated, high velocity and growing team based in our Toronto office. LEAP will provide you with the best training, equipment, mentoring and support for you to be successful.

This role works closely with the Sales Operations Manager to identify new approaches to increase productivity within our New Business teams. People management experience is key here, as the role holds overall responsibility for the team of inside sales professionals and is accountable for the number of qualified demonstrations booked and held, and mapping call volumes for the differing provinces. Strong communication skills are essential as this role facilitates the information flow between inside sales and direct sales teams.
The position holds overall responsibility for data quality, ensuring that the data we hold is accurate and relevant. Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Pardot is essential in this position, you will be considered the expert in both, and therefore hold ownership for training new members of the sales team on these platforms. The Canadian’s ongoing growth is a vital component in the success of LEAP globally and the successful candidate as the spearhead of the inside sales team needs to be an ambitious and disciplined individual who never gives up until they have reached their goals. Tenacity, backbone and diplomacy will see the right candidate go far in this role.

What We Need From You
The ideal candidate has minimum of 5+ years of sales experience within the SaaS space and 2+ years of proven Business Development experience. As a Business Development Team Lead, you will help develop, train and hire highly driven and enthusiastic team members. Demonstrable negotiation skills, experience managing a high-velocity team and a clear commitment to excellence are essential as is an ability to liaise with teams at every level in order to achieve business goals. You will be able to demonstrate to us at the interview stage your background in sales, consulting and operations. You will be motivated by our ambitious quarterly goals and you will have the mindset to smash these targets. You will develop strategies and tactics to help streamline the sales process at the top of the sales funnel resulting in a quality pipeline and successful partnerships between BDRs and BDMs. You are a Salesforce and Pardot champion. You will need to be solutions focused, and resourceful – we don’t micro-manage here at LEAP.
