Scope of the position:
The warehouse manager is responsible for managing the infrastructure and support team within the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager ensures orders are distributed to the customer in an efficient and timely manner while managing and encouraging optimal performance of all direct reports.
Major Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards and initiatives.
- Providing ongoing formal and informal performance feedback to employees.
- Managing employees by providing direction and motivation, training, and or testing.
- Managing physical counts and/or cycle counts.
- Providing productivity and efficiency reporting while maintaining overall optimal performance
- Monitoring processes to ensure compliance.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and reporting as required.
- Ensuring customer orders are timely and accurate with regard to receiving, picking, packing and shipping.
- Resolving day to day personnel issues where management decisions are required.
- Ensuring product storage is organized in a way to maximize productivity, space and safety.
- Reviewing and tracking inventory adjustments.
Education & Training Required:
- Courses in Inventory and/or Warehouse Distribution preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- University/College degree an asset.
Experience required
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
