Warehouse Assistant - Term

Reporting to the Fleet & Inventory Warehouse Coordinator, you will be organizing inventory, shipping and receiving and repair hardware. You will also be a back up in supporting the Coordinator with other day to day responsibilities.

What you'll be doing:

• Safely operates light material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts
• Perform configurations and minor repairs to weather stations, telematic devices and other data collection hardware
• Follows all legislated and company health & safety policies related to safe work practices, material handling equipment, and incident reporting
• Acts as back-up to Warehouse Coordinators in triaging calls from customers, team members and service providers
• Operates a shipping terminal to generate shipping labels, and communicates with transportation and logistics providers to ensure shipments arrive on schedule and in good working order
• Other duties as assigned
• Accurately fulfills internal orders for materials and customer equipment in accordance with provided equipment requisitions
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, and adjusts warehouse configurations as needed to optimize available space and in accordance with warehousing best practices
• Receives, verifies, and stocks warehouse inventory and returned customer equipment, and records information in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Performs regular and ad hoc cycle counts, reconciles on-hand inventory in WMS and escalates variances as needed

• High level of time management and detail orientation, and strong organizational skills
• High School or equivalent diploma or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools
• Valid forklift license; considered an asset
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• A valid drivers license; considered an asset
