Job Description


We are seeking a Manager, Change Communications to join our team in Toronto or Winnipeg.

The Manager, Change Communications is an integral part of the Change Management Office (CMO) team. You will be part of a team responsible for managing organizational change management at People Corporation coupled with overall responsibility for the creation, development, governance, distribution, and monitoring of all internal communications, resources, and vendor relationships.


This is an exciting opportunity to build a best-in-class internal communications function, while acting as a communication advisor to stakeholders. You will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, have a change and transformation mindset, and an elevated level of proficiency with technology and digital platforms.


The Manager, Change Communications will:


  • Write, edit, and distribute employee-facing communications that support the CMO Initiatives for a variety of channels, including info graphics, email, newsletter, and more
  • Design and implement governance that guides and ensures the quality of communication content delivered through the CMO, meets best practice guidelines
  • Design and run ideation sessions with key stakeholders in order to create visual and traditional content
  • Align stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure consistent and clear communications are being released
  • Keep current on emerging Change and Communication trends
  • Develop, distribute, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure the effectiveness of communications efforts
  • Design and develop creative visual and written content for multiple initiatives and ensure they are delivered on time with efficient and effective approvals
  • Manage, engage, and deploy high performing communication resources to deliver communications content within initiatives when necessary
  • Create key messages for campaigns via multi-communication channels that provide a compelling case for change for stakeholders at all levels
  • Create internal communications strategy, processes, and ways of working for the CMO and initiatives
  • Manage and update all internal communications channels and platforms in a timely manner
  • Work with other internal communications teams (e.g., marcom) to ensure consistency with branding and messaging when developing content
  • Develop internal communications strategy and plans that support the adoption of new ways of working within multiple initiatives
  • Support the Director, Change Management to lead 'ways of working' workshops


To be successful as Manager, Change Communications with People Corporation, you will need:


  • Communication – Experienced storyteller with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, communicates strategically and tactically, considering such aspects as optimal message timing, and form of communication. Ensures communication plans are implemented so audiences are informed in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner.
  • Attention to Detail - Able to accomplish and complete tasks while demonstrating a thorough concern for all areas involved, regardless of how small. Monitors and checks work or information, while organizing time and resources efficiently. Ability to bring together different information to achieve results and accomplish tasks. Ensures information is complete and accurate and follows-up when necessary to ensure all commitments have been fulfilled.
  • Technology Savvy - Able to use technology platforms to design compelling messages and illustrate new ways of working.
  • Change Management – Have the mindset that expects change and reacts with the understanding, perspectives, tools, and techniques to make change seamless and effortless. “Think outside the box”.
  • Planning and Organizing – Focuses on planning and organizing the actions and work activities of others (and self), including managing and coordinating tasks, developing project plans, monitoring performance, and achieving project goals according to approved principles and within agreed parameters. Setting appropriate expectations and standards, evaluating effectiveness of outputs, and holding people accountable for meeting agreed upon commitments.
  • Resource Management - Able to plan, schedule, and manage people and system resources to projects and initiates to maximize resources.


All-star candidates will have:


  • Experience developing strategic communications and working in collaboration with communication teams to provide effective communications through a variety of channels
  • Superior written and verbal communications
  • Advanced knowledge of technology and digital platforms to create, manage, and distribute content
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certification or equivalent required
  • Advanced knowledge of organizational change principles, approaches, and methodologies (e.g., PROSCI)
  • Ability to work to a high standard in a fast-paced environment, while managing stakeholders at all levels,
  • Over 5 years relevant work experience in communication with demonstrated success managing internal communications and change initiatives
