As the Social Media Specialist, you will responsible for generating compelling and shareable content to support the social media channels across the Sunwing group, in accordance to the wider corporate communications strategy. The Social Media Specialist must be a skilled copywriter with a creative eye for detail and curating imagery. What You’ll Do

• Create and administer social media contests
• Utilizes social media tools such as geo-targeting and language specifications to increase post performance and reach.
• Creates engaging content; writes and edits captions for various social accounts and coop social posts.
• Creates social shot lists for communications team members travelling to destination for business, posts on their behalf across the Group’s social accounts
• Organizes CrowdRiff database
• Stays on top of current social trends, new features and competitor analysis
• Schedules all posts in Sprout Social for optimal timing and engagement
• Creates social media posts that support marketing campaigns, business goals, communications and sales priorities
• Supports activations and events in person by taking photos and videos and offering on-site support
• Completes reports, analyzes data, delivers POPs for numerous activations
• Tracks all social media posts using UTM tracking ids
• Maintains monthly social media calendar for the Group’s social accounts including Sunwing Vacations, SellOffVacations, Sunwing Weddings
• Help to grow our brand presence on social media through creation of engaging social content in line with the corporate strategy of the Sunwing group of companies
• Creates Monthly POP (Proof of Post) reports
• Acts as key contact for all platforms and tools needed for social media

What You’ll Need

• Graphic design experience is a plus (Photoshop, Canva, Lightroom, etc.)
• Able to work in fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
• 1 – 3 years related experience
• Photography background is an asset
• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or similar combination of education and experience
• French is an asset
• Must be organized and practice effective time management
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
