Job Description

Our client, in the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Controls for a 3-4 month contract with potential for extension.This role will be supporting the Director and VP of Internal Audit.


The role will require working in office, in the downtown Toronto core, 2 days week.


About The Role:

  • Review the identification and documentation of internal controls - both from a business and IT perspective
  • Participate in cross functional communication, including with various business leaders across the organization
  • Lead the planning, development and execution of SOX/ICFR test plans
  • Acting in mainly a reviewer capacity, the individual will be heavily involved in the ICFR process across various stages of the controls cycle


About You:

  • An accounting designation
  • Experience at the Manager level or above
  • Some experience or exposure to IT controls
  • Possess experience in Internal Audit, SOX 404/ NI 52-109 compliance and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), including IT risk and controls
