Job Description
Rush Truck Centres of Canada is part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related employee services, including recordkeeping, onboarding and reporting, while maintaining confidentiality and protecting the privacy of its employees, and confidential business information.


Responsibilities
  • Maintain health and safety training portal.
  • Run all required reports to complete and balance payroll.
  • RRSP, WSIB, Group Insurance
  • Assist in various accounting activities to ensure month and year end financial reporting is completed in a timely manner.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Prepare Employment Letters.
  • Assist in all phases of Human Resources activities as they relate to payroll and onboarding.
  • Manage 90 Day and Annual Performance Evaluations for all employees.
  • Communicate with sensitively; tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times.
  • Process boot allowance for all locations as per company policies.
  • Maintain systems and procedures to ensure employee payroll and attendance records are accurate.
  • Prepare new hire and termination packages for employees.
  • Update bulletin boards and health and safety boards at the Mississauga location.
  • Prepare new hire documentation as required.
  • Assist in the creation of Records of Employment (ROE) as directed.
  • Process commission payments.
  • Maintain all employment personnel files i.e. filing.
  • Prepare commission summary detail
  • Promptly respond to inquiries relating to payroll; earnings, deductions, vacation etc.
  • Process and administer bi-weekly payroll for all locations; salary and hourly employees;
  • Process pay related modifications as directed.


Basic Qualifications


  • Post-secondary diploma preferred.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with a company with 500+ employees.
  • Must be committed to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years payroll and/or accounting experience.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset.
