Job Description

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a HR Coordinator to join our growing team.


The Opportunity


As a Human Resources Coordinator at JELD-WEN, you will be responsible for assisting the HR Department with numerous functions including but not limited to payroll, benefits and disability claims, administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and coordination of employee events. The HR Coordinator is always ready to offer assistance to employees and management to encourage a culture of openness and support.


This is an on-site role and is based in our Winnipeg-Munroe Plant.


What You Will Do

  • Execute full recruitment process including job postings, interviews, orientation, and onboarding.
  • Assist the HR Manager, Manager of Health and Safety, and the rest of the management team with various projects, reports, and employee updates.
  • Review and manage biweekly payroll runs and vacation and attendance tracking using a digital timekeeping system.
  • Collaborate with various departments to coordinate employee events.
  • Handle general employee inquiries in person, over the phone, and over e-mail.
  • Administer policies and procedures outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement relating to areas such as internal job bidding, discipline, and leave requests.
  • Create and present company-wide annual and ad hoc trainings.
  • Work alongside the Benefits Administrator for ongoing management of disability claims.


Who You Are

  • Previous payroll experience considered an asset.
  • Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) would be required.
  • Previous experience in a unionized facility is an asset.
  • Some related post-secondary education and/or previous experience with HR in a manufacturing setting.
