What you can you expect from this role
As the Director of Sales, you will oversee the business strategies by coordinating sales development efforts and devising a product-positioning and differentiation strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead the sales team
- Support your team, foster a positive work environment and provide all required tools and training
- Find appropriate solutions to all issues involving distributors, clients and other internal departments
- Ensure smooth communication with representatives and the sales support team
- Follow up on opportunities identified in the CRM
Executive Committee work
- Collect all required data and prepare reports and documents for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors
- Contribute to developing a strategic plan and ensure that it is carried out
- Support directors and other employees in their sales activities
Business Development
- Conduct business development efforts to support the company strategy
Planning, commercial intelligence and visibility
- Help identify and assess the needs and expectations of target customers and new market trends and conduct commercial and technology intelligence activities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly delivery forecasts
- Prepare and submit an action plan
Requirements
- Strong team building skills
- More than 10 years of experience in sales and business development
- Bilingualism (English/French)
- Available for long-distance travel
- Professionalism, integrity and solid strategic vision
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a director’s role
