Director of Sales & Marketing
Full-time Employee
Location: Anywhere in Canada - we all work remotely!
The Director of Sales and Marketing reports directly to the CEO and is a key strategic contributor to the company’s overall success. They are also charged with managing and maintaining the company’s brand and all design related to that.
Primarily, our Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new sales plans. More specifically, this would include:
- Direct any changes to the Company's brand message and visual style
- Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features)
- Anticipates the future direction of digital marketing and design using both research and own insight
- Coordinate design of branding, positioning and pricing strategies
- Attend all weekly and quarterly meetings and team on-sites
- Evaluate and report on internal tools/platforms used
- Maintain relationships with important clients by having regular check-ins, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
- Maintain internal website - execute updates, design/redesign and SEO
- Analyze consumer behavior and determine customer personas
- Plan and execute omnichannel marketing campaigns that map to sales objectives within channels not limited to PR, digital advertising, social media, email marketing, etc.
- Research competitors’ products/services
- Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives
- Assist in formulating short and long term creative goals and strategies for clients
- Proposals
- Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness
- Maintain and update sales documents
- Create and maintain internal workflows and processes
- Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks
- Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (i.e., events, email campaigns, web pages, online advertising, and promotional material)
- Own and execute the sales process from end to end
- Preparing and managing monthly, quarterly and annual Marketing budgets
- Develop and conduct sales campaigns, as well as marketing and promotional plans
- Responsible for setting and meeting monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Attending Leadership team meetings, updating Leadership team on the Social team highlights and issues and creating reports for executives as needed
- Authorizing expenses and making sure that the department sticks to the company’s budget
- Contribute to strategic growth of the company through EOS
- Manage and design merchandising

Pay & Hours:
- Annual bonus package based on employee and company performance
- Opportunities to participate in share ownership as we grow
- Travel is required for team and client events (approximately six trips per year)
- Unlimited vacation
- Health & extended benefits offered after successful completion of the probationary period
- Full-time, but with a reasonably flexible schedule
- Base salary + commission
