Director of Marketing

GameOn (CSE: GET) (OTCQB: GMETF) partners with the world’s biggest sports, media, and entertainment IPs to launch brand-building, money-making web3 games (with intuitive web2-friendly rails). We turn fans into superfans - engaging, retaining, and monetizing audiences. With a diverse team of web3, gaming, and sports veterans with experience at Take-Two Interactive, Twitch, EA, Dapper Labs, and the Brooklyn Nets, our platform is proven and executed at scale with millions of users, gameplays, and revenue. GameOn has launched products for NBCUniversal, Bravo, Karate Combat, Times Internet, the WNBA, DICK’S Sporting Goods, and Gaming Society.
We’re a team of smart and passionate hustlers, looking for a Director of Marketing to join the crew and lead out all our initiatives for our web3 PLAYN3XT platform.
The role:
- You will work closely with leadership to set realistic targets and KPIs
- You will be a central point of contact with our partner IPs
- You will leverage existing (and new) partner IP audiences to primarily growth hack through their assets such as social media, email and live event broadcasts.
- You will lead and execute strategic marketing campaigns around our PLAYN3XT platform in partnership with large scale IP (Sports Leagues)
- You will manage a small marketing team to execute and deliver (with scope to hire your own resources)
- To supplement this, you will execute a paid media strategy with varying (sometimes limited) budget
- You will representing GameOn publicly in the community
Your background:
- Strong stakeholder management
- Experience in campaign based marketing
- Experience with large IP
- Ability to lead and execute strategic marketing campaigns
- Willingness to represent GameOn publicly (active in the community, podcasts, interviews, videos etc)
- Good knowledge of reward structures within a Web3 ecosystem
- Ability to work closely with the product team on marketable events and timelines
- Ability to comprehend complex technical documentation and explain it succinctly to a new audience
- Strong product knowledge, particularly around Web3 games
- Work closely with senior leadership to set realistic targets and KPIs
- Strong organisational skills and team leadership
- A Growth mindset to constantly monitor performance of every channel
- Have strong understanding of both Web2 & Web3 marketing
- Track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns (ideally in Web3) with demonstrable ROI
