The successful candidate will lead the design and management of Bosk’s promotional efforts with the goals of spreading brand awareness and increasing market share. By using different marketing channels and tools, the Director of Marketing Communications will ensure that Bosk’s visibility, across markets and geographies, will increase dramatically.
Responsibilities will include:
·Social media content and managing all aspects of what channels Bosk uses, what messages/posts go out and how often
·Developing general marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, white papers, newsletters, etc.
·Developing speeches and other content for trade shows, webinars, customer training, etc.
·Building relationships with and developing content for trade publications, trade associations, etc.
·Assist in setting up a Trade Show strategy and help with the logistics of any Shows we choose to participate in. Also keep a Trade Show calendar and manage the Trade Show budget
·Create and maintain a Bosk customer database
·Developing outbound email marketing communications to Bosk’s customer database
·Determining the effectiveness of marketing materials by tracking metrics such as customer loyalty, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction
·Implement a public relations strategy
·Website content and lead a website re-design
What you bring to the position:
·Social media marketing:You will have honed strong social media marketing skills over your career, allowing you to create engaging content while helping the company stay up to date on social media trends and improve the company's digital presence.
·Digital presence: You will have experiences and ideas to significantly increase Bosk’s digital presence across a variety of platforms.
·Attention to detail: You will apply a keen attention-to-detail approach when analyzing data, creating a presentation, or writing a white paper, enabling you to produce professional and error-free content.
·Multimedia: You will have worked with and managed various media formats, including visual art, graphics, and social media. Whatever channel/tool you’re not familiar with, you will bring the excitement and aptitude to learn and master them.
·Research: You will use your research skills to find relevant information about Bosk’s target audience, including their interests, demographics, and buying habits. You will then use this information to customize marketing content & campaigns that appeal to this audience, increasing the likelihood of impacting them in some way and eliciting a contact.
·Project management: Over your career, you have developed strong skills in this area since the role involves planning, executing, and managing various communication projects and marketing plans. You use these skills to ensure a project follows a particular schedule, meets the planned objectives and delivers the result Bosk requires.
·Public speaking and verbal communication skills: As Director of Marketing Communications, you will gather, analyze, and present data about marketing campaigns and marketing content. It's critical that you have strong verbal communication and public speaking skills to communicate these plans and ideas.
Requirements for the Position:
·A post-secondary diploma/degree in media studies, marketing, communications or another suitable marketing discipline
·Must have at least five years experience in a very similar role
·Must have some experience in the plastic packaging or health/beauty market
·Having experience in plastics replacement technologies would be a significant asset
·Should possess a passion for helping to reduce the world’s dependence on fossil fuel-based plastics
·Must reside in the Montreal-Quebec City corridor and be willing to work in the Quebec City office at least two days per week
·Must be comfortable working alone, with minimal daily supervision and owning all aspects of your tasks and responsibilities
·Must have strong familiarity with social media channels and creating engaging content that will garner significant views or impressions
·Must have the aptitude to learn new skills and techniques to round out your knowledge
·Must be proficiency in MS Office
·Should have knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
·Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Must be a native English speaker or have excellent verbal and written English language skills
·Should possess good presentation skills
·Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
