Eucerin and Aquaphor are leaders in the therapeutic skincare market, bringing science and medical expertise to millions of consumers. This position reports to the Vice President of Derma, North America and it is key for the long-term development of the brand ambition to further accelerate within dermo-cosmetics segments. As the successful incumbent you will bring your skincare expertise to become the driving force and point of reference for the category. This position is responsible for creating the long- term strategy and product pipeline for the brand including close collaboration with the global strategy, R&D, and medical marketing teams. You will identify strategic consumer segments and audiences, white space assortment opportunities, retail expansion areas both online and offline, and manage all aspects of the commercial business that are critical to be successful in this dynamic role.
This position will also be leading the Business Unit of Health Care - Elastoplast in Canada. Elastoplast is a global leading wound care & sport injury brand that offers you smart products via top-notch innovations to heal wounds, protect, and care for the skin for more than a century (since 1882). A worldwide brand been sold in countries from Germany to China, UK, Australia, Mexico, and Argentina under the brand names Hansaplast, Elastoplast and Curitas. At Elastoplast, we want consumers to enjoy an active everyday life without interruptions and always keep going, no matter what.
You will be a member of the North American Derma, Healthcare and the Canada business leadership team. This role includes management responsibilities for a team of 2 brand professionals as well as a medical sales professional, who manages our nationwide medical sales force to fulfill the ambitious growth targets of the brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage team: Set goals, prioritise marketing projects and be the culture’s ambassador
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Legal, Medical, and Regulatory Affairs, as well as external agencies and suppliers in development and support of initiatives
- Identify gaps within the portfolio and lead internal product development initiatives
- Support Medical Marketing Management team to translate consumer/retail business activities to their own and find synergies in connecting with professionals
- Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness
- Build networking with key stakeholders to support corporate growth initiatives and build brand awareness
- Track competitor activities and assist in the preparation of messaging to ensure the commercial team can effectively position products
- Monitor and measure key initiatives, marketing campaigns and realign when necessary; provide guidance and ideas to organise marketing events
- Drive implementation of integrated cross-functional business plans including strategic value proposition development that links differentiated clinical data, relevant patient support services, access and marketplace understanding; Develop tailored engagement plans with unique stakeholder types
- Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
- Build and lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns that drive the products commercial objectives, including pre-launch, launch, and in-market business management
- Responsible for P&L management driving both top- and bottom-line financial decisions, lead development of brand financial building blocks, annual financial planning process, S&OP demand review meetings and accountable for the brand forecast, budget management and T&E. Collaborate with Sales to optimise pricing strategies
DO YOU POSSESS...
- Business and financial acumen: Track record of strong results-orientation using thorough financial analysis and ownership of P&L, SOI, and budget management
- BSc./BA. in Business, Economics or related discipline (MBA a strong asset)
- Strong knowledge of marketing and digital marketing principles
- Able to balance a broader marketing strategy by translating market, business and consumer trends
- Knowledge of the science of skincare as well as experience with the dermatology community
- Proven leadership skills and ability to build, mobilise and develop strong teams
- Minimum of 10 years brand management and sales experience in fast moving consumer packaged goods environment and OTC’s
- Minimum of 5 years managing a team
- Commercial vision and experience to secure top line and bottom line performance
- Availability to travel as business requires (occasional) to: HQ in Germany, domestic retailers/sales functions, consumer research and dermatology conferences
- Ability to communicate and influence bilingually (English/French)
