Job Description

This position requires a presence at our office located in St-Laurent, Montreal, one day per week, depending on operational needs.
Position Summary
The main responsibility of the Director Marketing is to lead the company on the creation and execution of launch, and marketing plans, ensuring that best practices are applied, and consistency is generated across the organization. Develop and maintain relations and interactions with cross-functional teams to ensure launch plans are embedded and aligned with the company strategy.
The director will work to develop and propose overall strategy, financial requirements, and all key activities required for a successful launch, and commercialization of promoted brands.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Act as product champion and expert on all aspects of each product and lead the development of the holistic plan including the life cycle management strategy to extend the business potential of the product and portfolio.
  • Owner and leader of the development of the financial objectives, product forecast, 5-year forecast, and budget.
  • Define scope of market research, define deliverables and challenge analyses.
  • Develop advocacy strategy and resulting tactics, balancing budgetary constraints and meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Direct the research and analysis of market, brand, competition, pipeline, pricing, promotions, reimbursements, disease, regulatory requirements, customers, and market access to understand business environment and build on opportunities.
  • Lead the brand/cross functional team, in the execution of the tactical plan to achieve financial objectives, including planning and arranging for training, market research, and sales training.
  • Partner with sales leadership to plan for the execution of product tactics and integration of the strategy for sales meetings.
  • Manage overall ad agency performance and performance review process. Sign off on agency estimates of proposal.
  • Lead the development and execution of the portfolio strategy. Components include but are not limited to the following: situation analysis, critical success factors, key issues, strategies, and financial objectives.
  • Balance resource allocation and marketing mix elements to operationalize marketing strategy.
  • Be a digital leader empowering the brand team to improve omnichannel marketing, using the latest innovations to collect new insights and to build the best customer experience with your patient-centric approach

Candidate Profile
Required
  • Experience working with field-based sales force and market access issues and trends, assessing product portfolio and commercial opportunities.
  • Experience leading relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • BA in Business/Marketing related discipline.
  • Experience facilitating multi-disciplinary commercial teams and managing resources.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priorities, identify resource needs, complete projects, prepare reports and evaluate results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Record of successfully working with commercial, market access, clinical, sales, operations and supply chain functions.
  • Minimum 10 years’ marketing related work such as managing budgets, managing projects and expenses, with progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
  • Ability to develop business plans, create and manage budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English.
