Job Summary: The Director of Global Channel and Alliances for AWS Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the global channel and alliances strategy specifically focused on Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings. This individual will play a crucial role in building and fostering partnerships with channel partners, resellers, distributors, and alliances to drive the adoption of AWS services, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance the company's competitive position in the cloud services market. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute effective channel and alliance strategies while staying attuned to the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop joint AWS-focused marketing plans, campaigns, and collateral that amplify partner offerings and drive demand. Work closely with product teams to align partner strategies with AWS service roadmaps.
  • Channel and Alliance Strategy for AWS: Develop and execute a comprehensive global channel and alliances strategy tailored to AWS services. Identify and prioritize potential partners and opportunities to drive the adoption of AWS offerings and meet business objectives.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets dedicated to channel and alliance activities focused on AWS services, ensuring optimal resource allocation for the attainment of strategic goals.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations of contracts and agreements with channel partners and alliances, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that align with AWS service goals and company interests.
  • AWS Expertise and Enablement: Possess deep knowledge of AWS services and offerings. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that channel partners are well-equipped with the necessary technical and sales enablement resources to effectively promote and sell AWS services.
  • Cloud Market Insight: Stay abreast of AWS trends, competitive landscape, and emerging cloud technologies. Utilize this knowledge to identify collaboration opportunities and provide strategic insights to the executive team.
  • Program Development: Design and implement partner programs and incentive structures specific to AWS services that drive partner engagement, sales performance, and market share growth. Develop compelling value propositions and messaging for AWS-related partnerships.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential AWS-focused channel partners, alliances, and key stakeholders. Collaborate to develop joint business plans, sales strategies, and co-marketing initiatives that leverage AWS services.
  • Pipeline Development: Partner with channel partners to identify and nurture sales opportunities related to AWS services. Drive lead generation and pipeline development activities to achieve revenue targets.
  • Performance Analytics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of the AWS-focused channel and alliances strategy. Regularly analyze and report on partner performance, revenue contributions, and AWS market trends.
