Role And Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and innovative project manager to join our Strategic Programs and Business Performance team. As a strategic PM, you will be responsible for seeking out and executing initiatives to drive efficiencies across all business units at CAE. Additionally, you will be working in close collaboration with the vice-president of strategic programs and operational excellence to oversee departmental governance and objectives.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Updating and monitoring KPIs and providing mitigation plans when needed.
• Coordinating the implementation, maintenance and success of activities and programs aimed at improving the processes of the various departments.
• Coordinating the projects reviews and governances.
• Managing the projects portfolio budget and assessing the ability to deliver projects on schedule.
• Supporting the various groups/departments/Business units in the successful deployment and monitoring of strategic plans.
• Developing scenarios to achieve optimal alignment of new projects and proposing recommendations.
• Overseeing departmental governances and providing key insights to executive management.
• Maintaining data integrity and acting as administrator for project management tools.
• Tracking and supporting key initiatives linked with departmental objectives.
• Participating in various projects contributing to the development of the organization (improvement of productivity, production rate, improvement of business processes, optimization, and improvement of costs, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a strong ability to lead by influence.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• 3+ years of experience in project management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification an asset.
