HIGHERDOSE MARKETING DIRECTOR
Hi, we are Virtual Pros, a global outsourcing agency based in Los Angeles, California. We provide specialized virtual staffing solutions to innovative businesses. We are seeking to hire a Marketing Director on behalf of HigherDose, a holistic wellness brand, born from its founders’ personal quest to find balance in their lives. Initially dedicated to popularizing the transformative benefits of infrared saunas (skin health, stress relief, muscle recovery, detoxification, and weight loss), HigherDOSE has become a platform to develop and launch products that help people lead better lives. In addition to operating a highly popular and profitable network of 11 infrared sauna spas in NYC, in 2018, the brand started selling an infrared sauna blanket online, then adding PEMF infrared mats in 2020 and a red light face mask in 2021, as well as ancillary products that complemented its core products.

Who We Are Looking for:
The Marketing Director will drive awareness of the HigherDOSE brand and acquisition and retention of new and existing customers. You will have a 360 Marketing background, having experience running retail businesses and managing the P&L. You will be a key member of the Leadership Team reporting directly to the Co-CEO.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team across Digital Marketing, Analytics, Retail, CRM, Acquisition, Creative, and Customer Experience. You will lead a team that manages all internal and external creative partners. In this capacity you will ensure that the brand and product stories are told in a consistent and compelling way and that our channels are increasingly effective and efficient, to meet the target while continuing to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop direct reports by setting a high bar, communicating clear expectations, and giving them frequent feedback and coaching.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and are excited by the challenges that come along with building a disruptive business and transformation through the introduction of completely new technology and ritual.
- Through a continuous improvement attitude, identify new analytical methodologies and visualization techniques to turn data into insights and action.
- Budget effectively across your channels, track spend and keep track of impact, and present regularly to the Leadership team.
- Drive customer retention through CRM/ life-cycle marketing.
- Continuously evolve the brand strategy to make sure we stay current with macro trends and maintain relevance.
- Lead the in-house creative team to create consistent and relevant brand and product messaging across all consumer touchpoints.
- Excellent judgment and are able to act decisively in situations requiring quick but thorough analysis and decision-making.
- Have a passion for the customer and building brands, with a track record of reinventing how it’s done.
- Strong communication skills, and are able to prioritize and re-prioritize based on changing business needs.
- Experience managing multi-functional in-house teams and external agencies.
- Create action plans based on data, as well as on a healthy dose of intuition.
- Lead the creation of the overall Marketing strategy, ensuring that we are driving brand and business growth through effective messaging and efficient media strategies.
The Right Person Would Have:
- Understanding of, and appreciation for the HigherDOSE brand, aesthetic, and mission.
- Proven experience in meaningful positions encompassing consumer/business intelligence, consumer product marketing, product management, commercial management, market research, and /or strategy planning.
- Motivation to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments.
- A process builder who is a critical thinker and able to establish processes to ensure efficient delivery of significant sales volumes.
- A self-directed individual who operates with passion, urgency, focus, and discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Marketing Management from a commercial, retail, or e-commerce environment.
- Highly analytical and strategic. Your problem-solving skills are unparalleled.
- Able to successfully navigate a range of stakeholders.
- Adaptable, open-minded, flexible, and ambitious.
- Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of qualitative, quantitative, and advanced analytic research methodologies and suppliers (including new approaches).
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, economics, or other quantitative discipline; Masters's degree in related field a plus.
- Desire to work in a start-up environment and wear many hats with a “do whatever it takes” attitude.
- Vast experience in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies across a range of channels and customer touchpoints.
- You will have a background within the Wellness, Exercise, or Beauty industry with a proven strong network.
- Strong interest and/or experience in marketing and data science, ideally in digital media (including display, mobile, social, and search).
- Proficiency with Statistical Software, Business Intelligence Platforms, and Data Visualization.
- Collaborator mindset, comfortable working with cross-functional teams to deliver projects with tight timelines to high standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively within the team and to other colleagues; providing consistent support to the Sales leadership team.
- Sharp communication skills, comfortable explaining high-level strategies, providing insight to the Leadership Team, and explaining complexities and nuances of the business.
- Results-oriented mindset. You love to exceed set goals and take on new projects.
