👉 About the Role:

As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding our client base. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in managing relationships with existing major accounts while identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.


💼 Essential Job Functions:

- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales and profitability goals.

- Collaborate with the design team to stay ahead of trends and ensure the development of compelling headwear products.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to foster collaboration and strengthen partnerships.

- Identify market trends and customer needs to develop and manage new headwear products in line with industry demands.

- Share valuable industry insights and competitor intelligence with the management team and other departments.

- Work closely with the Forecasting team to ensure appropriate inventory levels and support demand planning.

- Provide mentorship and support to the sales team, including Account Executives and Associate Account Executives.


🎓 Education/License Requirements:

- Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree/experience


📝 General Experience Requirements:

- Required: At least 5 years of Sales or Buying experience in the clothing industry, even better if in outerwear and sports

- Preferred: Experience in headwear manufacturing and working with top North American brands


🛠 Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

- Proficient understanding & execution of "Retail Math"

- Strong negotiation skills

- Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite products (especially Excel)

- Excellent presentation skills for internal and external customers

- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities


💼 Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

- Ability to travel occasionally for business trips

- Must be able to represent Mode Tagore at industry functions and business meetings.
