Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate's main responsibility will be to establish the fitting sales and marketing strategies, in concert with senior management, aimed at achieving the company's targets. They will present their yearly business plan including what strategies, budgets and actions, they will use to achieve their set goals. The successful applicant will be responsible for the entire sales process, from identifying business opportunities, generating leads, negotiating, and closing deals. They will be responsible for developing the province of Ontario, and the rest of Canada. They will be in charge of the marketing strategies (traditional, digital, etc.) related to these markets. They will be directly accountable for the success and performance of their division; they will own their division’s P&L.
Responsibilities
Sales
- Required profitability;
- Work closely with internal teams to align sales efforts and objectives;
- In collaboration with the technical team, participate in the development of product pricing, and
- And build a network of relevant contacts, to promote ewool’s product line.
- Manage the sales funnel, and associated activities;
- Recruit, build, supervise, and mentor a team of sales professionals, ensuring they have the skills,
- Implement business development initiatives and strategies, web-based and traditional, with the
- Develop specifically a "B to B" sales strategy targeted at well-identified market segments and/or sub-segments, and by geography;
- Establish, and present to management KPI’s – keep performance indicators to drive sales;
- Identify, organize, and participate in trade shows, events and industry conferences to develop,
- Stay abreast of market trends by use of market and competitive data to continuously identify new sales opportunities.
- Actively prospect for new customers nationwide, and develop strong relationships with the existing customer base;
- Aim of filling the sales pipeline/funnel;
- Develop, and implement the global sales strategy that are in line with the revenue, and profitability objectives;
- And resources needed to achieve the company’s objectives;
Marketing
- Plan, and execute targeted promotional, and marketing activities to drive sales.
- In collaboration with the marketing leads, develop and implement the necessary sales tools such as brochures, catalogues, price lists, presentations, along with search and social digital marketing strategies, etc.;
Competencies
Experience
- Ability to identify opportunities (suspects), generate new leads (prospects), and close sales
- (clients);
- Familiar with sales management tools such as a CRM;
- Ability to make presentations to various business leaders and groups;
- Between 8 and 12 years in business development, and sales team management;
- Bilingualism, spoken and written, French/English, is a must.
- Experience in developing, and managing digital marketing strategies;
