NATURE OF THE POSITION :
We’re looking for a seasoned sales executive who is passionate at guiding good sales people into becoming exceptional. Someone who has led the scaling and transformation of a sales team successfully.
Aligned with the company's business and sales strategy, you will develop and implement the action plan to achieve the global sales objectives. Leveraging your qualities as a leader and coach, lead changes in order to support business transition and sales growth. Your main focus will be change management for sales execution and as such, you'll directly work with the different sales team members and directors, without having them reporting to you.
This is a permanent, full-time position. The candidate should preferably be located in North America or Western Europe. This role reports to the CEO and is a member of the global Executive team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Contribute proactively to sales team communication and collaboration with other functions (marketing, business development, support, services, order desk).
- When required, take charge to proactively deactivate problems in the making;
- Assess sales people's strengths, opportunities for growth, limits and motivations.
- Act as a coach for skills development, better execution and new practices through generic training and practical coaching such as working on specific deals, pairing and other activities, whichever works best depending on the situation;
- Influence the decisions, processes, methods and tools as well as the evolution of sales roles.
- Participates in recruitment and definition of key profiles;
- Participate to Executive meetings, brings the sales execution perspective and influence other leaders to move the strategy forward;
- Support the sales leaders in team related questions and execution (hiring, development, role evolution)
- Guide change, put energy where it pays off, leads individuals and teams focus to the right priorities, knowing when to leave space for people to integrate and master new practices;
- Help the team and each individual to improve its execution;
REQUIRED PROFILE :
- Experience in industrial automation is a nice to have, experience in an industry with similar mix of hardware and software systems is essential;
- Previous experience leading the transformation and scaling ($20M → $100M growth) of a sales force ;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Oriented on sales results, focused on what really drives those results : the right people executing the strategy the right way.
- Excellent communication skills in English (listening, speaking, writing);
- Proven ability in leadership by influence, collaborative team player;
- Experience in complex sales, B2B solution selling that involve some level of pre-sales engineering;
- Valid passport and driving licenses, available to travel for some on-site visits.
