Overview Of The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is an active participant in the Tavistock Distribution Centre team and will provide reliable support for the group and be responsible for a range of administrative duties.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Other duties as required.
• Process manifests and record internal and external shipments;
• Support period end process and reconciliation including inventory count;
• Book appointments with carriers and customers as required
• Handle customer inquiries in a professional, timely manner;
• Research and process variances from inventory;
• Support the preparation of invoices for payment, track expenditures;
• Maintain warehouse filing system;
• Customer files maintenance;
• Daily communication with carriers
• Daily communication with customers re loadouts and order detail
• Organize all delivered customer orders
• Telephone communication with customers/sales/production plants/administration;
• Organize 3PL requirements
• Ensure all data entry is completed at the end of each day;

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Proven commitment to continuous improvement;
• Minimum 2 years’ office experience;
• Advanced business software skills (Excel, Word);
• Proficiency and dependability in current position if applying internally.
• High level of self-motivation and initiative;
• Strong organization and analytical skills;
• A solid and effective team player;
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
• Post-Secondary training in General Business/Administration/Accounting is preferred; related experience would be a suitable alternative;
