We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to lead and manage our warehouse department, responsible for handling returned merchandise. The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of our warehouse operations, overseeing a team of approximately 60 employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in managing large teams within an online auction or retail environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

- Provide strong leadership, direction, and guidance to the warehouse team.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse department and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Recruit, train, and develop warehouse staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.

- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.

- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.

2. Warehouse Operations:

- Develop and implement efficient operational processes to maximize productivity and minimize errors.

- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking and control systems are in place.

- Coordinate and oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of returned merchandise.

- Implement effective sorting, categorization, and inventory management strategies.

- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.

- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.

3. Quality Control and Compliance:

- Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure the accuracy and condition of returned merchandise.

- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

- Investigate and resolve any operational issues or customer complaints related to warehouse operations.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to optimize processes and ensure seamless operations.

4. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the warehouse operations.

- Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in warehouse management systems and technologies.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably within an online auction or retail environment.

- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.

- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

- Proficient in using warehouse management software and systems.
